Brazilian Stew


  • 1 kilo of beef
  • 1/4 liter of coffee
  • 4 olive oil tablespoon
  • 2 onions
  • 2 green peppers
  • Salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 30 grams of flour
  • 1 dried oregano tablespoon
  • 1 cup of dry white wine


  1. Cut the meat into cubes and fry in olive oil. Remove and reserve it. Add the thinly sliced onions, chopped garlic and peppers into strips and fry over low heat for 10 minutes. Sprinkle flour over and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring until browned.
  2. Add wine, oregano, salt, pepper and meat. Cover the pot and let simmer for an hour and a half or two hours until the meat is very tender.
  3. A few minutes before serving, add the coffee and rectify the salt. Serve the meat accompanied by white rice sprinkled with chopped parsley.
